Two architects. Two Sofias. One very intentional studio.
We met at the University of Miami — and somewhere between studio crits, late nights, and way too many design arguments, we realized we had something. Not just a friendship. A creative language. The kind of synergy where one of us starts a sentence and the other finishes it. Where we look at a space and see the same thing before either of us says a word.
We called it telepathy, the beginning of Studio Doppia.
SOFIA OJEDA
Colombian. Architect. The person in the room who will tell you exactly what she thinks about your space — and somehow make you laugh while she does it.
After graduating from the University of Miami in 2021, Sofia trained at two of Miami’s most respected firms — Cure & Penabad and Strang — where she sharpened an already sharp eye for architecture and learned how the best spaces in Miami actually get built. She has opinions. Strong ones.
She brings the structure, and the energy that keeps every project moving — and clients genuinely enjoying the process.
SOFIA SILVA
Ecuadorian. Architect. The one who will quietly walk into your space, say very little, and then hand you a concept that makes you wonder how she got inside your head.
A University of Miami graduate, class of 2021, Sofia’s design instinct is the kind that can’t be taught — it’s just there. Understated in person, anything but understated on paper. She finds the soul of a space before most people even find the floor plan.
She brings the depth, the restraint, and the eye for detail that makes the difference between a space that looks good and one that feels inevitable.

We are maximalists in the truest sense — not more-is-more for the sake of it, but spaces that are rich, layered, and unapologetically full of personality. Tailored to who you actually are, not a trend board.
Our Latin roots show up in the energy. The warmth. The boldness. The belief that a space should make you feel something the moment you walk in — not just look good in a photo.
We don’t design safe spaces. We design spaces that mean something.
Between us we bring architectural rigor, interior instinct, construction knowledge, and a shared obsession with getting every detail right. We’ve worked on opposite sides of the same projects and learned that the best design happens when structure and soul are in constant conversation.

We bring something most design relationships don’t have — two trained architectural minds that also deeply care about how a space lives. We understand structure, construction, and technical documentation. And we understand comfort, personality, and the feeling of a room that was made for exactly one person — you.
We’ve sat inside the rooms where Miami’s most respected design decisions get made. We’ve watched how the best projects are built from the ground up — and we brought that knowledge back into a studio that is small enough to give you our full attention and skilled enough to deliver something serious.
There are two of us. That means two perspectives on every decision, two sets of eyes on every detail, and a creative tension that — in our experience — always produces something better than either of us would have done alone.
And we genuinely love what we do. Not in the way people say that. In the way that we’ve been talking about spaces, materials, and design since we were sitting next to each other in school convincing ourselves we’d do this one day.
